Context
While working on SAP Business ByDesign, UX compliance checks were largely manual—requiring designers and developers to repeatedly verify adherence to guidelines. This process was time-consuming, inconsistent, and difficult to scale.
Problem
- High effort spent on repetitive compliance checks
- Inconsistent interpretation of UX guidelines
- Limited ability to enforce design quality at scale
Approach
- Reframed UX guidelines as structured, rule-based systems
- Proposed automating compliance through a rule engine
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to explore and shape the solution
Outcome
- Shifted effort from manual checks to automated validation
- Enabled more consistent and scalable UX quality
- Recognized internally as an innovation initiative
